What is Etch Tech Simulated Glass Etching?

Etch Tech Simulated Glass Etching uses the Etchlike® Catalytic Polymer process. The catalytic polymer is applied with a special roller over a custom designed template. It has the look and feel of etched glass. Etch Tech is NOT a sticker or decal. It does not crack, peel, bubble or fade.

How can it be permanent and removable?

Like the paint on your automobile, it is permanent. However, if you wanted to remove the paint from your automobile, down to bare metal, you could. An Etch Tech design is permanent for as long as you want to keep it. It can be removed at any time, leaving the glass surface in its original condition.

What designs are available?

Etch Tech uses Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools to create your custom template. Any graphic that can be input to, or created on a computer can be used to create your template. We will show you thousands of designs, all of which can be altered as necessary to your needs. If you have a favorite design, fabric or wallpaper, we can usually work with it.

How long does the installation take?

Etch Tech does all installations on-site, without removing any installed glass. This makes ‘down time’ a non-issue. The actual installation takes from one to six hours, depending on quantity and complexity. The work is performed without the slightest fear of damage to surrounding floors, walls or furniture. There will be a slight ‘fingernail polish remover’ smell during the installation. This smell is not harmful to you, your children or your pets. The smell dissipates quickly, usually in 15 to 20 minutes after installation is complete. Your EtchTech design will be dry to the touch in about one hour, and completely cured in three days.

How is an EtchTech design cleaned?

Any non-abrasive commercial glass cleaner and paper towels will keep your design clean, without any fear of fading.
